Emma Salvesen

Senior Digital Marketing Executive

Born and raised in the Scottish Borders, Emma has always been surrounded by nature and wildlife, so every day was a new adventure. Her curiosity and love of exploring started from a young age, so it was no surprise that as soon as Emma left school her travelling escapades could finally begin. From backpacking around Europe to volunteering in Fiji and immersing herself in different cultures and experiences, to then spending a year working and travelling around New Zealand, it was rather reluctantly that she eventually returned to the UK.

Knowing that she wanted to work alongside like-minded people who shared the same interests she did, Emma knew that the travel industry was right for her, and she has been working in luxury travel since 2019. Her passion for travel continues to grow as she learns more about each destination and what these fascinating and exciting places have to offer.

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

Sky-diving in Fiji over the Great Sea Reef. The most memorable part of the skydive was seeing a full circle rainbow which was such a memorable moment to witness. However, every moment of Fiji was incredible, from walking through the village and saying ‘Bula’ (hello) to the locals every morning to dancing with the head of the village at a Cava ceremony.

A woman stands smiling in front of the Taj Mahal, with manicured lawns and a reflecting pool in the foreground. The majestic white marble structure is partially under renovation, with scaffolding visible on one side.
Two people engaged in tandem skydiving, with one enthusiastically screaming and the other guiding. They are surrounded by blue skies and fluffy white clouds, with a glimpse of ocean below.
A person in a red dress stands in a doorway, looking out at a sunlit space beyond. The walls are textured and the atmosphere is serene, with soft shadows playing around.
A woman with long hair stands on a sunlit street, wearing a white top and wide brown trousers. She is smiling and extending her arms, surrounded by greenery and parked cars.

Top of your travel bucket list?

With a continuously growing bucket list that changes constantly, it is impossible to pick just one. However, the ones at the top two on my list at the moment are to experience the Northern Lights in Iceland and to witness the Great Migration across the Serengeti and the Masai Mara in Africa.

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

My sister! She is always the first one to say, “What’s the worst that can happen?”. After doing a skydive at the age of 9, nothing will stop her.
